A Hard Day's Beatlemania

Jacq. 23. Full-time Beatlemaniac. I'm a John girl with a very soft spot for Paul. Any good fangirl who loves one of 'em, loves 'em both. "Insert your face here" photos are my specialty. Welcome to the mania.

As we were leaving, Paul shook all our hands and by this time I was even braver so I said, ‘I’m not used to shaking boys’ hands on their birthday’ and offered him my cheek. He very gently took my chin, turned my face around and gave me a beautiful kiss right on the lips.
I know it sounds corny, but for about two weeks I washed every part of my face but my lips.

To John’s further delight, he discovered Paul was corruptible. In no time he groomed his young cohort to shoplift cigarettes as well as stimulating in him an appetite for pranks. On one occasion that still resonates for those involved, the Quarrymen went to a party in Ford, a village on the outskirts of Liverpool. “John and Paul were inseparable that night, like Siamese twins,” says Charles Robert, who met them en route on the upper deck of a cherry red Ribble bus. “It was like the rest of us didn’t exist.” They spent most of the evening talking, conducting a whispery summit in one corner, Roberts recalls. And it wasn’t just music on their agenda, it was mischief. “In the middle of the party they went out, ostensibly looking for a cigarette machine, and appeared sometime after carrying a cocky-watchman’s lamp. The next morning, when it was time to leave, we couldn’t get out of the house because they had put cement stolen from the roadworks into the mortise lock so the front door wouldn’t open. We had to escape through a window.

It was 1963 and the Beatles were backstage at a concert hall somewhere in northern England, scheduled to go on in fifteen minutes. John couldn’t remember exactly where; maybe Manchester, maybe Sheffield…..it didn’t really matter anymore. Sitting in the dressing room with the others, tuning his guitar, John got a sudden urge for an immediate fucking - a knee trembler – and dispatched Neil Aspinall, the road manager, to retrieve the nearest blonde, preferably one with big tits. Moments later Neil returned with the girl. She was a little bit drunk and not a day over 17 – exactly what John wanted. He didn’t say a word; he just stood her up against the wall, reached under her skirt, ripped off her knickers, whipped out his cock and shoved it in. But when he pulled out, blood was oozing from the head of his prick and everybody was laughing. John was horrified. He’d ruptured a membrane in his foreskin.
“You fuckin’ cow!” he screamed at the dumbfounded girl. “What did you do to me fuckin’ cock?”
John was going to slap her, but Neil restrained him. “Get out there and play your fuckin’ guitar, you bloody bastard,” he said, gently guiding him towards the stage; the others were already out there, waiting.
“I’ll never fuck again!” John cried, sticking his bleeding cock back in his pants and walking onstage, into the maw of the shrieking crowd.

I like a happy ending. It may be a bit, you know, corny. But most films I’m sort of thinking, ‘Oh I sort of hope it works out alright.’ And then, I’m glad if it does!

Trying to possess it makes it go away. Trying to possess somebody makes them go away. Every time you put your finger on it, it slips away. Every time you turn the microscope’s light on, the thing changes so you can never see what it is. As soon as you ask the question, it goes away. Peripheral vision is what it is. There’s no looking directly at it. Try to look at the sun. You go blind, right? Now that doesn’t mean you don’t have to work on it. Love is a flower and you have to water it.

Once you know somebody, you can never unknow that person. And knowing is loving. So you can never get out of love. There might be misunderstandings and separating for other reasons, but love is always there. Staying together is just one form of love. Maybe that’s a strong love and expression of love. But love is a soul thing. It always stays there.

I don’t wear my glasses during our act, so I sometimes miss out on the fun. Paul likes to say that he has seen the girl of his dreams out there. He knows I go crazy because I can’t see the birds.

Dhani fact

fuckyeahdhaniharrison:

When he was 14 -or something-, he was baby-sat by his heroes.

“I met them (Pearl Jam) at the Bob Dylan festival, the tribute concert back in ‘92. I was like 14 or something. We were in rehearsals. My dad laid me on them cause he had to go and do rehearsals. So he left me with Pearl Jam. They were like my heroes. The were just like “Okay Mr. Harrison” and looked after me.”
